Checklist on what you may need to take great professional pictures in a small wedding brought to you by photorec.tv
great video but I wish I saw most of the things you held off camera. Wanna see that gear! lol Thanks for the info!
You're not an assistant, you're a second shooter.
Same gear I use, but I'd use a macro as well. Great videos you make !!! Very informative and not pretentious.
It is not – sorry that I held it high and it got cut off That is Titanium Smart Fast 16 Bay Ni-MH AA/AAA Battery Charger- I just added a link under the video. I love the idea of solar battery charging and there are a few on amazon but they are SLOW
Great question. We occasionally gel the flashes to match the ambient light and we have little plastic colored gels with strips of velcro on edges that let us throw those on quickly.
Question on an old video I revisited (shooting some pre-ceremony photos for my cousin).. why do you have velcro on your flash heads?
P.s. I'm shooting with a D7000 + SB700.. will probably use my 50mm 1.8 for sheer quality of images.
Thanks HJ – we do touch on this some in our wedding prep but a video where I talk about this in more detail would be a good idea- I will add it to my list.
Hey Toby! I'm going through your videos and I'm falling in love with all the detail you throw at us in such an easy to follow manner. It is highly appreciated, so I hope you know that. How about a video on how you got started and how you got to where you are in photography? I'm still skimming through these videos so I'm not sure if you've done that just yet. Thanks!
I have a diagram I just linked under the video – One is on each of our cameras and the other two is on the other side of the dance floor. Let me know if you have any questions.
Hi where do you usually set those flashes? Im the dance floor? 4 flashes square position?
Balloons, confetti, tooting horns!

Thanks for the quick reply Toby! Yes! I do have a wedding May 4th! You may be hearing from me soon!! I'm renting lenses from Lens Giant. They've done we'll for me in the past.
24-70 f/2.8, 85 f/1.2, 35 f/1.4, 70-200 f/2.8. And not at this wedding but we often rent the 100mm for macro ring shots. I saw you mention in the rapid strap giveaway you have a wedding coming up? I am always happy to chat and I might be able to convince Christina who is the real star of this gig to share some knowledge too.
I can't pull up this video?! I wanted to write down the lenses that were used for the wedding.
Hi Luke, I have not. It's funny because I do have a nice Kowa scope and all these DSLRS but I have never managed to figure out which adapter I need. I have found my girlfriends iPhone takes lovely photos through the scope. Maybe someday I can get it all together. Let me know if you find anything helpful.
Maybe I am a dummy but I couldn't easily find you on G+. Just sent you a message on youtube with the links. Enjoy.
hey toby, I was just wondering if you have ever done a segment on Digiscoping. I take a lot of nature photos and happen to have a spotting scope and a dslr. I have seen some vidoes online about it but just wanted to know your take. I'm trying to avoid the spendy 400mm lens 😉
Shoot me a message on facebook and I will link the two videos I referenced. Will have more in the future 🙂
Thank you! I appreciate that comment.
thx for replay , believe me you're one of the best youtubers i've ever subscribed for .
love from saudi arabia
I have talked about off camera flash and easy wireless flash with the T4i and a 430EX in two different videos. I do plan more but my list is growing 🙂 What would you like to see covered/answered.
